Participants at the International Conference for Educational Technology (ICET) 2006 got an opportunity to share ideas and learn about the exciting future of IT integration in education. The conference from 6 to 8 September 2006 was jointly organised by MOE and NIE, and showcased renowned local and international speakers who touched on diverse aspects of educational technology. |
Themed "Reflection on IT Integration in Education: Moving Forward & Beyond", the conference saw participants sharing learning experiences in changing the culture in schools to support innovation, and gaining a better understanding of the possibilities of IT for teaching and learning.”
As Singapore ‘s education system is moving towards e-learning, there is an increasing number of schools where the courses and classes are conducted online.
Students with the use their own notebooks, in the wireless network, can view assignments, submit their work, take online quizzes, complete their assessments and view their grades daily. To enable all this, every student must own a notebook with the specified hardware requirements.
